Portable Radio Instrument for Signal Monitoring — an SDR platform built around the LMS7002M RF frontend and a Zynq-7000 FPGA. Hand-routed and impedance-matched RF traces in KiCAD.

A.R.G.H.
Advanced Recognition of Gestures of the Hand — a senior capstone wearable. ESP32 + IMU sensor fusion feeding an INT8-quantized 1D-CNN, running gesture recognition entirely on-device. PCA on the collected data shows the four trained gestures separating cleanly.

Automated Routing, Impedance, and Assembly Assistant — a neural-network-driven tool that helps route, impedance-match, and assemble PCBs inside KiCAD, trained on scraped gerber and schematic data.
Homelab
A self-hosted server stack used daily and as a sandbox for Linux administration and networking — VLANs, firewall rules, remote access, backups, all managed from the CLI.
A bit more about the engineer
Electrical & Computer Engineering student at Idaho State University, expected December 2026 — coming to embedded systems and RF/DSP work after several years in a management role, which is where the project-management habits and the "figure it out at 2 AM" instincts come from.
